MJK Racing has adopted a three-tier approach to corporate sponsorship. This multi level approach is standard throughout the motorsports industry and provides marketing partners various avenues to develop a positive business relationship. The following is a general description of the three tiers of race team sponsorship:
Primary Sponsor
Name the racecar and team.
Design the appearance of the racecar (paint scheme & decal layout) and coordinate the team and driver uniforms (associated costs are covered by the sponsor).
Hold the rights to best and most visible promotional space on the racecar.
Hold the rights to create trackside promotional activities and hospitality events in association with MJK Racing.
Unlimited use of driver’s name and likeness in advertising & promotional materials.
Rights to appearances by driver at sponsor locations & events (travel & lodging to be provided by sponsor).
Associate Sponsor
Hold the rights to the best available promotional space on the racecar (a Primary Sponsor can override).
Hold the rights to create trackside promotional activities and hospitality events in association with the Primary Sponsor & MJK Racing.
Hold the rights to use driver’s name and likeness in promotional materials and to have corporate logos on the team and driver uniforms.
Hold the rights to secure personal services with the driver for additional promotional, marketing, and advertising activities.
Supporting Sponsor
Hold the rights to limited promotional space on the racecar (generally a small decal).
Hold the rights to create limited trackside promotional activities and hospitality events in association with the Primary Sponsor, Associate Sponsors & MJK Racing.
Hold the rights to use driver’s name and likeness in promotional materials.
Must provide services or products, free of charge, to the team.
